Months ago, watching a bunch of "Rachel Khoo’s The Little Paris Kitchen" episodes, we bumped into these sweet pastry puffs with sugar and chocolate chips on them. The required ingredients were just a few and so without a second thought we got in the kitchen to make them. In the kitchen, watching the episode with chouquettes here and following step by step the recipe here, we were more than ready to start. The recipe is really easy and the way Rachel Khoo is showing it is really helpful and makes you bake lika a child! She is so girly and hilarious!
We didn't have either nibbed sugar pieces or
chocolate chips and so we used only granulated and icing sugar for the powdering. They were still delicious but we wanna make them with nibbed sugar pieces as well! TIP: Don't be stingy with the icing sugar...let it snow, let it snow, let it snow ;)
Of course, we couldn't have skipped the coloring part! I (Sophia) love food coloring and so colored some of them pink, blue and green! You can skip this part if you want to. They look great without colors, too!!
