Bake | White Chocolate Trunk cake

12.1.17

Looking outside our window you'll notice everything covered in snow. January took its job so seriously this year. It's really cold and snowy outside! It seems that everybody is either outside building a snowman and playing snowball fight or inside home watching movies. You can see hardly noone walking down the streets. This scenery is really charming but melancholic, too.

If you ask me. . . I love being hidden under my soft blanket and watch my favorite movies non-stop or drawing a little something! I always love to draw something. Having a sketchbook in my hands and sketching cute stuff. The last days I have something else in my hands. A Wacom drawing tablet, a Christms gift from my beloved boyfriend. Oh, it makes everything look so pretty and professional (if i can say that). I love it!

Speaking for love . . . Oh this cake! Fistly, this is the most perfect cake we have ever made. You can't see the inside of it -it was our New Year's cake so we couldn't destroy it- but believe us the layering and the crumb coat turned out amazing. Of course, we love the white chocolate pieces placed one next to each other and create the perfect snowy trunk. The sweetest white trunk!

Hello January ❄

1.1.17

New Year's eve and I'm still at the bakery. People dressed in their formal outfits are coming to buy last minute's sweet treats and of cource New Year's cake. Christmas boxes, little stars and ribbons are everywhere. I'm looking outside the window...the snow is falling, people are in a rush for last minute presents shopping or going to their parents' or friends' house for the big night. It's 10 o'clock and the most cakes are sold. The only ones left are those with the white chocolate - snow tree trunk. These are my favorite ones! Last customers and the cleaning begins. Everything has to be in its place. It's midnight and then . . . FIREWORKS, in every single colour and shape. I love watching them through the window. I wish my family and friends were here. Heading to the cupboard, a heard the doorbell ringing. I couldn't believe my eyes! My family was there wishing me "Happy New Year". I was the happiest girl ever!
