Hello April. It's April fools' day! Such a sunny and beautiful day. It's perfect for hanging out with your friends in the countryside, or if you are at work -as I am- it's the perfect day for pranks to our favorite person here: the boss! Today it was all about Chatlotte. Strawberrry, Cranberries and Blueberries Charlotte, filled with cream cheese, jam, biscuits or cake. Who doesn't love Charlotte? It's like a sweet tower made of sponge fingers (savoiardi), topped with fresh fruit and flowers and of course tied up with a ribbon. So, I thought I could prank my boss using those sweet towers. As I was assembling the last Charlotte, I run upset and terrified out of my working space and headed to my boss's office. "Oh, you couldn't believe what happened! I'm so sorry!", i was screaming out loud being on the verge of tears. "Sophia, what happened. Please sit down and tell me!", he said worried. "I'm sure you'll fire me for that. I finished assembling the last Charlotte cake and I thought to take a look at those who were at the refrigerator for 10 hours. I opened the fridge and i saw every single Charlotte cake broken. All the lady fingers had falled down and the inside filling became so runny. Oh, such a mess!", i kept on crying. We both run upset to the refrigerator to see the damage. He opened the fridge and he stumbled upon 5 beautiful Charlotte cakes. He looked at me perplexed and I smiled. "Happy April fools' day!"

Καλό μήνα! Η κατάλληλη μέρα για φάρσες σήμερα! Τι όμορφη και ηλιόλουστη μέρα για να κάνεις μία βόλτα στην εξοχή ή αν δουλεύεις -όπως κι εγώ- τι καλύτερο από το να κάνεις μία φάρσα σε ένα από τα "αγαπημένα" σου πρόσωπα: το αφεντικό, ποιον άλλον; Σήμερα ήταν η μέρα για Charlotte! Mε γεύση φράουλα, βατόμουρο ή φραμπουάζ, με γέμιση τυρί κρέμα,κέικ ή μπισκότα. Ποιος δεν αγαπά τις Charlotte; Μοιάζουν με ένα γλυκό πύργο, φτιαγμένο με μπισκότα σαβαγιάρ, διακοσμημένο με φράουλες και με μία κορδέλα δεμένη γύρω του. Έτσι, λοιπόν, αποφάσισα να κάνω μία φάρσα στο αφεντικό μου χρησιμοποιώντας αυτά τα γλυκά πυργάκια. Αφού τελείωσα την τελυταία Charlotte, βγήκα αναστατωμένη από το εργαστήρι κι έτρεξα στο γραφείο του αφεντικού μου. "Δε θα πιστέψετε τι συνέβη! Δεν το πιστεύω! Χίλια συγνώμη!, έλεγα και ήμουν στα πρόθυρα να βάλω τα κλάματα. "Τι έχεις Σοφία; Κάθισε και μίλησέ μου!", μου απάντησε το αφεντικό. Η ανησυχία ήταν ζωγραφισμένη στο πρόσωπό του. "Σίγουρα θα με απολύσετε με αυτό που έκανα!! Αφού τελείωσα την τελευταία Charlotte, πήγα να κοιτάξω τις υπόλοιπες που πάγωναν στο ψυγείο για 10 περίπου ώρες. Ανοίγω το ψυγείο και τι να δω; Όλες οι Charlotte κατεστραμμένες! Τα σαβαγιάρ είχαν πέσει κάτω και η γέμιση είχε γίνει τόσο νερουλή που έτρεχε από παντού. Πραγματικά μία καταστροφή!". Το αφεντικό με κοίταξε έντρομο κι αμέσως τρέξαμε και οι δύο προς το ψυγείο. Άνοιξε την πόρτα του ψυγείου και τι αντίκρισε; Πέντε πανέμορφες και καλοφτιαγμένες Charlotte να στέκονται και να μας κοιτάνε. Με κοίταξε μπερδεμένος. Του χαμογέλασε πονηρά και του είπα γελώντας "Πρωταπριλιά!"

Μέσα Νοέμβρη. Το κρύο άρχισε να γίνεται τσουχτερό. Το μπουφάν έχει βγει για τα καλά από τη ντουλάπα και έχει αντικαταστήσει το τζιν πανωφόρι. Το σημερινό απόγευμα ήταν ένα από αυτά που πηγαίνεις αναγκαστικά στη δουλειά και το μόνο που σκέφτεσαι είναι πότε θα περάσει η ώρα για να πας στο σπίτι, να τυλιχτείς κάτω από τα σκεπάσματα και να γράψεις το επόμενο ποστ στο μπλογκ. Ατελείωτα σχέδια για συνταγές και χριστουγεννιάτικες ιδέες. Και όλα αυτά όχι επειδή δεν αντέχεις τη δουλειά σου αλλά επειδή η μέρα σου μπορεί να μην ήταν η καλύτερη κι έτσι ψάχνεις ζεστασιά σε κάτι όμορφο και δημιουργικό. 

Αυτό το κέικ, είναι μία υπενθύμιση πως είμαστε πολύ κοντά στα Χριστούγεννα. Εσείς που αγαπάτε τα Χριστούγεννα καταλαβαίνετε τι εννοώ. Ντυμένο στα λαμπερά κόκκινα, με πλούσιο γλάσο και γεύση ρόδι. Εύκολο σαν κέικ με κάποια αυξημένη δυσκολία στη διακόσμησή του. Επιζητεί μεγάλη φροντίδα και υπομονή καθώς τα ρόδια μπορεί να μην σου κάνουν τη χάρη να κολλήσουν στο κέικ. Αν δεν έχεις υπομονή, απλά πασπάλισε κάποια από πάνω. Α! Μην ξεχάσεις να στηρίξεις πάνω σε δύο καλαμάκια μία γιρλάντα από σημαιάκια. Θα σου φτιάξουν το κέφι!                                                  

Every month, a new "Hello" - The Balloon Project

 One more "Hello" Project is over. The balloon project. This year was all about balloons. Yellow, pink, green, purple, white, blue, red, heart shaped or the regular ones. Flowers, snow, seashore, meadows and gardens. These were some of our backgrounds. We tried to fit in each landscape with our balloons and create something that reminds you of every month. 

This was our second "Hello" project. We enjoyed each one of the photoshootings and  loved your lovely comments and thoughts. 

Every last days of each month we were taking our balloons and permanent marker, dressed in our themed clothes and headed to our monthly destination. Some times it was was hard for us to find the right place or the weather wasn't that "friendly". But, every picture has something unique and that's why we love the final collage. It's so moving and nostalgic to look back to those pics. 

In some days we are starting the new "Hello project" and we are so excited about it! The "Hello September" is ready and we can't wait to share it with you! We already adore it! 

Let it be a lovely "Hello" that will accompany you in every first of the month.

Hello March ✿

arch. Spring is here. We welcome spring with white dresses, balloons and a March bracelet. Wear your red -white bracelet so you won't get sunburnt, as they say. The trees have bloomed. White and pink blossoms everywhere. The smell of spring is out there. It calls you to leave your house and run to the nearest beach to take a stroll, to prepare a picnik and enjoy it with your friends, to have trips and experience new things, to take photographs under the almond trees. This year, οn Μarch we celebrate Carnival. Confetti, streamers, masks and costumes. Dress up, be creative. You can be anyone/anything you want!

άρτιος. Η άνοιξη είναι εδώ. Την καλωσορίζουμε με λευκά φορέματα, μπαλόνια και έναν Μάρτη στο χέρι. Φόρεσε τον Μάρτη σου για να μην καείς από τον ήλιο, όπως λέει η παράδοση. Τα δέντρα έχουν ανθίσει. Λευκά και ροζ μπουμπουκάκια παντού. Η μυρωδιά της άνοιξης είναι εκεί έξω. Δε σε αφήνει ήσυχο. Σε καλεί να αφήσεις το σπίτι και να τρέξεις στην πλησιέστερη παραλία για μία βόλτα. Να ετοιμάσεις ένα πικνικ και να περάσεις όμορφα με φίλους. Να κάνεις εκδρομές και να αποκτήσεις νέες εμπειρίες. Να βγάζεις φωτογραφίες κάτω από ανθισμένες αμυγδαλιές. Αυτό το χρόνο, ο Μάρτης φιλοξενεί και τις Απόκριες. Κομφετί, σερπαντίνες, κοστούμια και μάσκες. Μασκαρέψου! Να είσαι δημιουργικός. Μπορείς να είσαι όποιος/ό,τι θες!

Sunday Brunchin' | Pancakes

unday is for a big and delicious brunch! Sunday means being lazy and cozy under your blankets  until late in the morning. Getting up and running to your kitchen to prepare the most delicious pancakes for you and your boyfriend! Pussyfooting around the kitchen with your warm socks and gathering the ingredients while peeking at your colourful recipe notebook. Trying to be quiet in order not to wake him up! Once the mixture is ready, grab a scoop and pour some of it in the pan. Don't forget to see some bubbles on the pancake and to flip it while it's not totally baked on top. Spread some chocolate on top and sprinkle some icing sugar or serve them with honey and butter! For a special occasion, spread this amazing caramel sauce Bοnne Maman and crack some oreo biscuits on top! Enjoy them at your bed for the absolute Sunday cozy feeling! 

Hello December ✿

ecember. Winter is here and .... It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas everywhere you go...la la la. Oh, who doesn't love Christmas? The whole town is dressed in its Christmas outfit. Christmas lights and decorations are everywhere. It makes you wanna sing "I don't want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need, I don't care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree..". The home is a lot warmer now. The Christmas tree is in its corner, Christmas plates with sweet treats on tables, Christmas lights and orange, cinnamon flavor are everywhere. This atmosphere invites you stay at your home and hide under your warm blankets. "Home alone" playing non stop, pop corn, hot beverages and ginger-bread men cookies. What's better than this?! On Christmas you become a homebody and it feels nice! When I'm at home I love making presents for Christmas. Searching for the perfect DIY on Pinterest and create it on my own. Ribbons, glitter, watercolours! This way you add a piece of your heart in your presents and yeah it's more fun. This Christmas, try to smile and have a great time with the people you love! Dress like one of the elfs of Santa Claus and spread happiness, love and little tartlets.

εκέμβριος. Ο χειμώνας είναι εδώ...και αρχίζουν όλα γύρω σου να θυμίζουν και να μυρίζουν Χριστούγεννα. Ποιος δεν αγαπά τα Χριστούγεννα; Όλη η πόλη ντύνεται στα γιορτινά της.  Χριστουγεννιάτικα δέντρα, φωτάκια και στολίδια παντού. Θες να ξεκινήσεις να τραγουδάς "I don't want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need, I don't care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree..". Το σπίτι είναι πιο ζεστό τώρα. Το δέντρο βρίσκεται στη γωνία του, Χριστουγεννιάτικες πιατέλες με γλυκά πάνω στα τραπέζια, φωτάκια και το άρωμα του πορτοκαλιού και της κανέλας παντού. Σε προσκαλεί να καθήσεις στο σπίτι και να χουχουλιάσεις κάτω από τα ζεστά σου σκεπάσματα. "Μόνος στο σπίτι" να παίζει συνέχεια, ποπ κορν, ζεστά ροφήματα και τζιντζερο-ανθρωπάκια-μπισκοτάκια. Τι καλύτερο! Γίνεσαι σπιτόγατος τα Χριστούγεννα! Χεχε! Όταν είμαι στο σπίτι την περίοδο των Χριστουγέννων τρελαίνομαι να φτιάχνω μόνη μου δώρα. Ανοιχτό το Πίντερεστ, σε αναζήτηση για το πιο όμορφο DIY. Kορδέλες, γκλίτερ, χρώματα! Φτιάχνοντας τα δικά σου δώρα, προσθέτεις κι ένα κομμάτι από την καρδιά σου σε αυτά! Έχει και περισσότερη πλάκα έτσι!! Αυτά τα Χριστούγεννα γίνε ένα μικρό ξωτικό του Αϊ-Βασίλη και μοίρασε χαρά, αγάπη και μικρά ταρτάκια!

Back to school | Hit the books

of September today. Friday and back to school. But Friday? Let me sleep and have fun three more days and I'm going to school on Monday. I promise. I will be a good guy and I won't make your life hard as I'm trying to wake up on Monday morning. I will wake up with a huge smile on my face, eat my breakfast, brush my teeth, wear my clean clothes, grab my backpack and run to school. You're insisting on Friday huh? Okay then. In exchange I want a huge and delicious breakfast. Juice, milk, pancakes with nutella, brownies with little sugary hearts on top, croissants and some fruits please. I'm trying a new healthy lifestyle. Νext to my glass of milk I want a note  from you writing "Have a lovely school year! I love you!". Oh! And a little heart drawn under the note. 

Yes! This is a lovely Friday - back to school.

Birthday Girl | Sweet 23

Sweet 23. This month I became 23. Standing behind of those candles wiser (oh well!) and full of new experiences. A wish! Believe in it and it will come true! Phewwww!

That Tuesday. Two surprises. A petit strawberry cheescake at the morning and a banana ice-cream cake that afternoon later were waiting for me. Lovely, unexpected and so moving gestures from my dearest people!  

Sweet delights, smiles, fooling and photoshooting around with people I love. 

Dreaming, laughing, creating, discovering places!

Yeah.

Let every day of this 23 years old girl be like that!

Capture | Secret Garden

The girl. Lost in her thoughts. Lost in her “Secret Garden”. The only place she feels protected and tranquil. This place is not far away of her real problems, her reality. After all, sadness and fears are things that we carry with us. And the “Secret Garden”? That single place, those specific people, that part of our thinking which give us the motivation to have faith and move on.

cat chica!

Cat chica. Our home has been something like a cat shelter this year. 6 cats so far. All black, black n' white, ginger, grey and a blonde-brunette mix! A happy family, as I'm saying on our Instagram account. Eating, playing, hugging and sleeping all day long. Yeah, that's life! Pet them continuously and they will love you forever. Scratches are not missing of course! As in every relationship, you have good times and bad times! You see our cats in the pics for the "Hello, month" series. This little sweetie is entagling in my feet all the time and so she is not missing from every single pic! Αlso, she fancies smelling and eating chalks while photoshooting.  She ends up with a colourful fur. So cute!
