Hello March ✿

Μάρτης. Η άνοιξη είναι επιτέλους εδώ! Το μαγαζί έχει γεμίσει φωτεινά χρώματα και λουλούδια. Βάζα με πολύχρωμα λουλούδια και αμυγδαλιές για να υποδεχτούμε την άνοιξη. Η πιο φωτεινή εποχή που σε γεμίζει δημιουργικότητα και αισιοδοξία είναι εδώ. Όλα μυρίζουν λουλουδένια και ζαχαρένια. Το μενού μας έχει αλλάξει. Έχουμε εντολή να φτιάχνουμε μόνο ανοιχτόχρωμα ή πολύχρωμα γλυκά με λουλούδια και κόκκινα φρούτα. Το εργαστήρι μας έχει μεταμορφωθεί σε ένα όμορφο ανθοπωλείο. Λουλούδια φρέσκα σε γλαστράκια, πέταλα πάνω στο τραπέζι, μπουκέτα έτοιμα μέσα σε χάρτινο περιτύλιγμα. Το πιο όμορφο από όλα τα κέικ είναι ένα απλό λευκό κέικ με τυρί κρέμα και μαρμελάδα φρούτων. Τι πιο απλό κι όμως το πιο εντυπωσιακό. Είναι το αγαπημένο μου, γι'αυτό και η σπεσιαλιτέ μου. Μαρμελάδες, κρέμα λεμονιού, ολόκληρα φρούτα και φυσικά λουλούδια στην κορυφή. Περάστε μία βόλτα από το φούρνο μας για ένα κομμάτι από τα ανοιξιάτικα κέικ μας. Θα πάρετε στα χέρια σας ένα βεραμάν κουτάκι με φλοράλ χαρτοπετσέτα. Ανοίξτε το κουτάκι! Θα σας περιμένει μία έκπληξη. Ένα αποξηραμένο λουλουδάκι πάνω σε ένα σημείωμα με μία μαγική ευχή για την άνοιξη! Θα είναι ένας μήνας μαγικός . . . 

Βake | Turkish Künefe

Πριν από κάτι μήνες μας προσέγγισε η γλυκύτατη Κριστιάνα και μας ζήτησε να συμμετέχουμε στο 6ο τεύχος του Fliqped Magazine, με θέμα τους Κρυμμένους Θησαυρούς. Με μεγάλη μας χαρά αρχίσαμε να σκεφτόμαστε ποιο γλυκό θα μπορούσε να αποτελέσει τον "Κρυμμένο Θησαυρό". Αμέσως μας ήρθε στο μυαλό κάτι φτιαγμένο από τη γιαγιά. Κι αυτό μας έστειλε κάπως συνειρμικά στην Κωνσταντινούπολη (αν και δεν ήταν η γιαγιά από εκεί αλλά έχουμε κάποιες ρίζες μικρασιάτικες) και σε μία κουζίνα γεμάτη μπαχαρικά. Είχαμε επισκεφτεί λοιπόν κι εμείς την Κωνσταντινούπολη -την αγάπη της μαμάς- και αυτό που μας έχει μείνει -γευστικά πάντα-είναι το Κιουνεφέ. Ένα γλυκό που μας σέρβιραν σε ένα παραθαλάσσιο εστιατόριο στην Πρίγκηπο μέσα σε ένα μικρό ταψάκι. Σιροπιαστό καταΐφι με τυρί στο εσωτερικό. Μα τι συνδυασμός! Ένας κρυμμένος θησαυρός μέσα στο γλυκό που του ταιριάζει απίστευτα. 

Bake | Fudgy Brownies (basic recipe)

We are getting ready for autumn. For the real one! A few rainy days and my sore throat (oh yes!) don't fool us. We can't really tell that "Autumn is here"! I can't wait to wear my knit cardigan and my glitter oxfords,  to wear my high-knee socks and drink hot chocolate with my boyfriend at our favorite parisian café. Later, when the first dark falls, you want nothing but cuddles at the couch while watching your favorite series.

In the morning, you' ll find a journal full of lists ready to be filled with your weekly program, recommended books and movies.Next to it, there is a mug filled with flavored coffee and some brownies dusted with cocoa powder and some icing sugar.

How beautiful autumn mornings smell like! 

Every month, a new "Hello" - The Balloon Project

 One more "Hello" Project is over. The balloon project. This year was all about balloons. Yellow, pink, green, purple, white, blue, red, heart shaped or the regular ones. Flowers, snow, seashore, meadows and gardens. These were some of our backgrounds. We tried to fit in each landscape with our balloons and create something that reminds you of every month. 

This was our second "Hello" project. We enjoyed each one of the photoshootings and  loved your lovely comments and thoughts. 

Every last days of each month we were taking our balloons and permanent marker, dressed in our themed clothes and headed to our monthly destination. Some times it was was hard for us to find the right place or the weather wasn't that "friendly". But, every picture has something unique and that's why we love the final collage. It's so moving and nostalgic to look back to those pics. 

In some days we are starting the new "Hello project" and we are so excited about it! The "Hello September" is ready and we can't wait to share it with you! We already adore it! 

Let it be a lovely "Hello" that will accompany you in every first of the month.

Mum's Baking | Raisins buns (Σταφιδοψωμα)

Μum is back on the blog with a delicious recipe. Raisins buns. She first tried those sweet buns at Easter time. We all loved them. They don't taste like cake. They are more like chewy bread. Νοt overly sweet. The perfect snack for your breaks, for your tea and coffee.

Η μαμά επέστρεψε στο μπλογκ με καινούργια συνταγή. Σταφιδόψωμα. Τα δοκίμασε πρώτη φορά το Πάσχα στη νηστεία και τα αγαπήσαμε όλοι. Δεν έχουν τη σύσταση κέικ. Είναι κάτι σαν τσουρέκι με σταφίδες. Όχι υπερβολικά γλυκό. Το τέλειο σνακ για το διάλειμμά σου με τσάι ή καφέ. 

Hello June ✿

 une. The first month of summer. We celebrate June and the beginning of summer at the beach with our balloons and a new face, our beautiful friend Anastasia. Thank you for being a part of "Hello June"! Polka dots, flowers in you hair, salt on your skin, blue sea and sky. One of our favourite seasons is here. Τhe season of cheerfulness. Start organizing the first picniks and hikes of the month. Choose to walk a lot into green woods. Lay your plead sheet on the ground and grab a bite of that quiche lorraine you prepared the previous night for your friends. Have a great time with them. Take photographs of whatever inspires you and make a scrapbook or just tape them on your wall.

ούνιος. Ο πρώτος μήνας του καλοκαιριού. Γιορτάζουμε το νέο μήνα και την αρχή του καλοκαιριού σε παραλίες με τα αγαπημένα μας μπαλόνια κι ένα νέο πρόσωπο, την όμορφη φίλη μας, Αναστασία. Ευχαριστούμε που ήσουν μέρος των "Ηello" μας! Πουά, λουλούδια στα μαλλιά, αλμύρα στο δέρμα, καταγάλανη θάλασσα και ουρανός. Μια από τις αγαπημένες μας εποχές είναι εδώ. Η εποχή της ανεμελιάς και της ξεγνοιασιάς. Ξεκίνα να οργανώνεις τα πρώτα πικ-νικ και πεζοπορίες του καλοκαιριού. Επίλεξε καταπράσινα δάση και βουνά. Καθώς περπατάς αισθάνεσαι να αναζωογονείσαι. Άπλωσε το καρό σου σεντόνι κάτω και κάνε ένα διάλειμμα. Δοκίμασε από την quiche lorraine που ετοίμαζες χθες το βράδυ για την παρέα σου. Mην ξεχνάς να περνάς όμορφα μαζί τους! Φωτογράφισε οτιδήποτε σε εμπνέει και δημιούργησε ένα αναμνηστικό λεύκωμα με φωτογραφίες, στιχάκια και λουλούδια. Μπορείς ακόμα και να τα κολλάς στον τοίχο σου με πολύχρωμες ταινίες. 

Να έχετε έναν υπέροχο Ιούνιο!

Bake | Clementine cake

pring is here. Let's celebrate it with something sweet and orange. A clementine cake. Not some ordinary cake. The most delicious and moist cake you have ever tasted. A couple of months ago we watched "The secret life of Walter Mitty" for the first time. This movie is amazing. We watch it over and over again and never get bored of it. Beautiful and peaceful sceneries of Iceland, Greenland and Himalayas, a lovely soundtrack, inspiring scenes and quotes and of course this perfect clementine cake. You should definetely watch this movie and bake this cake. That citrus flavor with the sweetest icing and those candied clementine slices make the perfect cake for your afternoon tea. Everyone who tasted this cake loved it. We will bake it again and will try it with lemons or oranges.

lli's. A lovely place down town of Volos full of warmth and elegance.  Parisian atmosphere and chocolate flavor. The best place to drink your tea, hot chocolate or coffee with your friends while chatting. I love sitting at the soft and comfortable sofa in front of the window and planning things with my boyfriend or working on new projects! Watching my town transforming in its festive blue outfit! The atmosphere around you makes you feel like you are  in Paris at a cozy chocolaterie! On Christmas the decoration is so festive that you can smell orange and cinnamon coming out of the  coffee maker. Elegant lamps, clocks, books, magazines, little houses and characters like they came out of a comic that make you dream of your next illustration. Christmas lights and many paintings on the walls! The perfect place to enjoy your warm beverage or drink, to have fun with your loved ones or sit at a cozy corner and read your book!

 υριακή. Οι αχτίδες του ήλιου ζεσταίνουν το πρόσωπό σου και πορτοκαλίζουν τα πάντα γύρω σου. Το κρύο όμως τσουχτερό! Δύο μικροί εξερευνητές ξεκίνησαν πρωί-πρωί για να ανακαλύψουν το πορτοκαλί μονοπάτι. Πήραν σακίδια, κάμερες, τρίποδα, λίγα μελομακάρονα (ω ναι!) και μπήκαν στο αυτοκίνητο. Προορισμός - το Πήλιο. Όσο πιο ψηλά, τόσο πιο πορτοκαλί θα είναι τα δέντρα, λέγαμε. Χμ, χμ! Δυστυχώς τα πορτοκαλί δέντρα δεν ήταν οσα περιμέναμε. Βέβαια από ένα σημείο και μετά το τοπίο θύμιζε περισσότερο φθινόπωρο. Έτσι, σταθήκαμε σε δύο σημεία, βγάλαμε τρίποδο, κάμερες...και κλικ κλικ (!) να τες οι πρώτες λήψεις. Πόσο όμορφα ήταν! Βόλτα στο βουνό χέρι-χέρι ψάχνοντας όμορφα πορτοκαλί μονοπατάκια και μαζεύοντας φθινοπωρινά φύλλα. Το κρύο πάγωνε χέρια και μυτούλες, αλλά τι σε νοιάζει όταν περνάς τόσο όμορφα! Στο δρόμο της επιστροφής, ένα ζεστό τσάι με καραμέλα και κάτι για φαγητό επιβάλλεται. Ανυπομονησία να δούμε τις φωτογραφίες και να αρχίζουμε να παίζουμε λίγο με τον φωτισμό και τα χρώματα ενώ απολαμβάνουμε τη ζεστασιά από το τζάκι που έκαιγε δίπλα μας. Αυτές είναι όμορφες Κυριακές! Μυρίζουν καραμέλα και είναι γεμάτες αγάπη!  

Hello December ✿

ecember. Winter is here and .... It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas everywhere you go...la la la. Oh, who doesn't love Christmas? The whole town is dressed in its Christmas outfit. Christmas lights and decorations are everywhere. It makes you wanna sing "I don't want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need, I don't care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree..". The home is a lot warmer now. The Christmas tree is in its corner, Christmas plates with sweet treats on tables, Christmas lights and orange, cinnamon flavor are everywhere. This atmosphere invites you stay at your home and hide under your warm blankets. "Home alone" playing non stop, pop corn, hot beverages and ginger-bread men cookies. What's better than this?! On Christmas you become a homebody and it feels nice! When I'm at home I love making presents for Christmas. Searching for the perfect DIY on Pinterest and create it on my own. Ribbons, glitter, watercolours! This way you add a piece of your heart in your presents and yeah it's more fun. This Christmas, try to smile and have a great time with the people you love! Dress like one of the elfs of Santa Claus and spread happiness, love and little tartlets.

εκέμβριος. Ο χειμώνας είναι εδώ...και αρχίζουν όλα γύρω σου να θυμίζουν και να μυρίζουν Χριστούγεννα. Ποιος δεν αγαπά τα Χριστούγεννα; Όλη η πόλη ντύνεται στα γιορτινά της.  Χριστουγεννιάτικα δέντρα, φωτάκια και στολίδια παντού. Θες να ξεκινήσεις να τραγουδάς "I don't want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need, I don't care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree..". Το σπίτι είναι πιο ζεστό τώρα. Το δέντρο βρίσκεται στη γωνία του, Χριστουγεννιάτικες πιατέλες με γλυκά πάνω στα τραπέζια, φωτάκια και το άρωμα του πορτοκαλιού και της κανέλας παντού. Σε προσκαλεί να καθήσεις στο σπίτι και να χουχουλιάσεις κάτω από τα ζεστά σου σκεπάσματα. "Μόνος στο σπίτι" να παίζει συνέχεια, ποπ κορν, ζεστά ροφήματα και τζιντζερο-ανθρωπάκια-μπισκοτάκια. Τι καλύτερο! Γίνεσαι σπιτόγατος τα Χριστούγεννα! Χεχε! Όταν είμαι στο σπίτι την περίοδο των Χριστουγέννων τρελαίνομαι να φτιάχνω μόνη μου δώρα. Ανοιχτό το Πίντερεστ, σε αναζήτηση για το πιο όμορφο DIY. Kορδέλες, γκλίτερ, χρώματα! Φτιάχνοντας τα δικά σου δώρα, προσθέτεις κι ένα κομμάτι από την καρδιά σου σε αυτά! Έχει και περισσότερη πλάκα έτσι!! Αυτά τα Χριστούγεννα γίνε ένα μικρό ξωτικό του Αϊ-Βασίλη και μοίρασε χαρά, αγάπη και μικρά ταρτάκια!

Bake | They wanted to be carrot cake truffles

believe that the title says it all. Yes, these chocolate delicacies should be and look like carrot cake truffles with chocolate- caramel topping but..there is a but! Due to some kind of technical problem the chocolate mix never became as thick as the lovely Sorted boys show us here. They call them "Brigacake". An easy dessert from Brasil! Hmmm..easy! Yeah, it should be really easy except this part. So, we put the chocolate and condensed milk mix in the microwave and everything melt. Kinda normal, right? How his chocolate- condensed milk mix became like that? Hmm, we don't really know! After a day of refrigeration this mixture never became as thick as it should be for a truffle! Huuuuge disappointment! So, we decided to dip those little pieces of carrot cake into the chocolate mix and let them cool! The carrot cake was super delicious and so the chocolate mix. So, the combination was really good! It was not the best thing we' ve ever tasted but it was a nice sweet treat. Now, you are gonna tell me "And so why are you making a post for them?". The answer is that we really loved this recipe and the cake, chocolate mix on their own were really delicious and we would like to share this experience with you. We would really love to try them again as truffles this time because I think that it would taste delicious. So, enjoy some pics I took using a tripod this time (thank you deer K.) and some gifs. I love making them! So much inspiration, so many ideas for November but so little time. We hope we 're gonna make it happen! 

Hello November ✿

ovember is here. October just flew by and we are in the last month of Autumn. It seems like we are heading to a really cold winter. Ιt took us some days to get used to this cold weather but I think that we love it now! Wrapped in our favorite big, warm scarfs -or as I call them, blankets- drinking tea at our favorite café. The best time of the year to bake some brownies and experiment with hot soups. Get dressed in the warmest colours. The colours of chocolate, caramel and beetroot. Your home should smell like chocolate, hot latte and mum's cakes. Nothing more heart warming. I hope your November smells like a chocolate mousse with sweet moments like the caramel nibs on top.

DIY | Tea Bag Shape Bookmarks

Lately I've been reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone for the very first time. I have a lot of friends, including my sisters and my lovely Brazilian friend Ruh, who are mad about Harry Potter and everything around him. As a little kid I never felt like reading any of Harry's books or watching the movies. So, I think that the time has arrived now at my sweet 23. The girl writing here, blew 23 candles on 4th of August (birthday themed post is coming!). Starting reading the book I realised that I didn't have a bookmark- a cool one! So, I decided to make one. It was such a fun process and so easy to make. I decided to put that "You fell asleep here" quote cause I found it really smart. I bumped into it on tumblr some years ago and instantly fell in love with it. Follow the steps shown in the pics, add your own style and let your imagination and creativity lead you to your own unique bookmark.

Μία μέρα του Ιουνίου, από εκείνες τις δροσερές που ο ήλιος δεν είναι τόσο γενναιόδωρος να σε ντύσει με τις ζεστές αχτίδες του, βρεθήκαμε με τη φίλη μου στο Μύρτιλλο. Ένα cafe-bar γνωστό για την υπέροχη θέα που έχει. Απολαμβάνοντας όλη την πόλη του Βόλου μπορείς να βυθιστείς στις σκέψεις σου και να ηρεμήσεις. Το όλο σκηνικό γύρω σου σε βοηθά με τον τρόπο του. Κελάηδημα καναρινιών, καρέκλες Φερ Φορζέ, άφθονο πράσινο, ποδήλατα, φαναράκια, ποτιστήρια, πολύχρωμα λουλούδια. Μία εικόνα βγαλμένη από παραμύθι.  

Α breezy day in June, one of those that sun isn't generous enough to embrace you in its warm rays, me and my friend went to Myrtillo. A cafe- bar, known for its beautiful view. Enjoying the beautiful town of Volos, you can immerse in your thoughts and calm down. The whole atmosphere around you helps a lot. Birds singing, Fer Forge chairs, a lot of green surrounding, bicycles, lanterns, watering cans, colourful flowers. It reminds you of a fairytale.

In the kitchen we swear by | Merenda Υγειας Παυλιδη

Mερέντα Υγείας Παυλίδη. Η ανακάλυψη! Την πρωτοδοκιμάσαμε την περίοδο της νηστείας τη Μ. Εβδομάδα και από τότε έχει αντικαταστήσει το βαζάκι της Μερέντας γάλακτος και της Nutella στην κουζίνα μας. Ιεροσυλία για κάποιους αλλά είναι τόσο νόστιμη, οπότε who cares?! Αρχικά, την περιμέναμε πολύ πικρή επειδή φτιάχνεται από μαύρη σοκολάτα χωρίς γάλα αλλά έχει πολύ ισορροπημένη γεύση. Ούτε υπερβολικά γλυκιά όπως η γάλακτος και χωρίς να σου αφήνει αυτή την πικρή γεύση της κουβερτούρας. Την έχουμε δοκιμάσει σε pancakes, απλωμένη σε ψωμί, με φράουλες και φυσικά σκέτη με το κουτάλι. Θέλουμε να δούμε πως δένει και με άλλα υλικά μέσα σε γλυκές συνταγές. Νέα αγαπημένη προσθήκη στην κουζίνας μας, λοιπόν! Εσείς την έχετε δοκιμάσει;
